are made by experts (scholars and librarians) in specific fields. The purpose is to provide researchers with handy tips and guidelines for the best materials to use for specific purposes. These may take the form of a selective bibliography or may be more of a separate work to help guide the researcher in the right directions.

It is always a very good idea to use research guides whenever they are available. Fortunately, the world wide web has made this much easier to do than ever before, since libraries around the world have made their research guides available for free. This way, a library and its users can take advantage of the expertise of other experts, no matter where they happen to be in the world.

AUR has made a rather unique series of research guides, which attempts to take advantage of these experts in different institutions. So far, we are concentrating on the areas where the university concentrates, but these guides can be increased and enhanced.
