There are many documentaries available for you to watch for free online. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) are placing many of their valuable documentaries for easy viewing and download. They are on many topics and include National Geographic videos to BBC Panorama news shows. AUR has cataloged a few of these sites, but mostly, they can be found by searching Google Video. This is not such an easy thing to do however.

The library has created a special page to help you search Google Video a bit more accurately. You will still retrieve videos that may not be BBC documentaries, so be careful, but it is still a valuable service. There is also the page created by Moviesfoundonline.com, where they try to organize and select the documentaries more carefully. One problem is that these documentaries may disappear, so often the links will not work.

Finally, many complete series of BBC documentaries are available to watch in Guba. For example, the famous series Civilisation with Kenneth ClarkClark, is available in its entirety, Alistair Cooke's America, plus many others.
